2020 Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of the JSCCA was held on Wednesday 15 April via video call.

The main business of the Meeting took place and the Chairman provided his report for the past 12 months.  A full copy can be found by clicking here.

It was proposed at the meeting to allow the Executive Committee to look at increasing the subscription rate from £25 to £35 with effect from 1 January 2021, however, due to the current Covid 19 situation, this will be reviewed later in the year.

The Treasurer of the Society, Marc Cleeve had provided copies of the accounts to the Committee prior to the meeting and gave a summary of the detail to those on the call.  The Treasurer stated that the Auditors, Bracken Rothwell, had given approval for these accounts to be adopted and will be signed accordingly.

Nominations of officers to the Committee were approved as follows:-

Chairman - James de Veulle

Vice-Chairman - Steven Hunt

Treasurer - Marc Cleeve

Chairs of each sub-committee were agreed as follows:-

Matt Ryan - Technical/Accounting Regulation

Paul Eastwood - Tax

Catherine Watson - Marketing & Training/CPD Conference

Committee Members - Tim Brown, Matthew Christensen, Bill Glancy, Jason Lees-Baker & David Moehele

The Chairman gave thanks to Andrew Bougourd for his work on the Society during his time as Chair of the Tax sub-committee as Andrew had decided to stand down from the Committee at the AGM.

CPD Conference/Dinner

Arrangements for the conference/dinner are continuing for the event to take place in October.  Due to the current Covid 19 situation, this will continue to be monitored over the next few months.

BPP Training Sessions

Unfortunately these sessions have been put on hold for the time-being due to Covid 19 but the Society is working with professional institutes to obtain details with regards to online training.
