The tax sub-committee examines, communicate and helps to shape the potential impact of proposed tax changes across the entire business community.
Its role is essentially two fold:
It prepares communications about changes to tax legislation and practice, and the tax impact of legal and accounting changes. This includes requesting and collating member views then submitting written responses to Government tax related consultations. It also includes representing the JSCCA at Fiscal Strategy Group meetings.
The sub-committee also work closely with the training sub-committee to help plan and deliver a relevent, topical and insightful CPD programme. This education part of the role includes dealing with tax technical queries from members.
